I came across your site as I had adopted a black & white female cocker spaniel a little over a year ago from the Elgin small dog rescue in AZ. Obviously, this is a different Elgin rescue, but I want to say that rescuing my little Bella was the best thing ever. I thank people like you that have the shelter, work at the shelter, and for those that volunteer to help these animals feel as much love as possible while they are in their "transition" stage. I purchased a pure-bred buff & white Cocker about 5 years ago (Bailey), and he was the best puppy ever! To make a long story short, I wanted him to have a companion since I work during the day, even though I work at home sometimes. So, this one day, the Elgin small dog rescue came to a winery in AZ that I was at one weekend, and I saw this black & white, small Cocker, who, for some reason, captured my heart. The rescue owner only told me that she (Bella) had been "bred to death" and had a hip injury that was never addressed. All I said to the owner of the rescue was, "She's mine. Please don't let anyone else take her." At the end of the day, I paid my fee for her, put her in my SUV, and drove home. Once she arrived at my house, it was a little bit of a shock to her b/c she immediately peed in my kitchen - but I understood. She met Bailey, and she was immediately taken to him as her "big brother". Bella is the most adorable Cocker Spaniel girl, the sweetest and softest thing ever. She will sleep w/ me at times, snuggled in my arms. She loves her belly rubbed, and is just truly amazing. I can't believe anyone ever gave her up. My friends and family always ask, "How'd you get so lucky to get such a wonderful dog?" As animal lovers, we know she's not just my dog. She and Bailey are my "fuzzy children". Thank you so much for doing the work that you do and helping all the "fuzzy children" that look up to you.

Steve I love everything you have done with our site since you took it over for me. We have had some wonderful reports from people looking at it and It would not be this good if you didn't put your extra efforts towards making it GREAT!!
