"IN LOVING MEMORY OF BERT KIVELL"

Bert Kivell, age 67, of Elgin, died suddenly at home on October 22nd, 2007.  He leaves behind his very dear human family as well as his very loved and loving pets.  Bert and wife Shirley's 11 miniature donkeys... Pistol Pete, Lucy, Fudgie (Bert's favorite 'cuz she helped him build all the barns), Betty Jean, Misty, Mandy, Snickers, Noelle, Suzy Q, and Skeeter.  These babies aren't house pets... well, maybe on occasion.   The three cats, all of whom were abandoned at Bert and Shirley's door as kittens, were a huge part of Bert's life.  Oogie rules the roost at 15+ years old, Thummies, who has 23 toes, protects the Kivell house from marauding gophers, mice, and so on... and Raven delights everyone with her crazy antics.  Bert followed in his mother's footsteps by adopting, neutering, and loving strays.

Daughter Clare says, "His love for domestic and wild animals is a legacy continued by his wife, sister, children, and grandchildren.  I think we all have a rescue or two at home!!"

This memorial is a tribute to the wonderful family of Bert Kivell,
is put together with love and caring -
"MAY HIS LIFE AND LOVE LIVE ON IN THOSE WHO LOVE HIM"

 In Loving Memory of Charley

Our dearest Charley, adopted in 2005 from the Elgin Humane Society passed away yesterday, Saturday 11-17-07.  Charley was frightened away from home and into traffic by the very loud storms we had on Saturday.

He was loved dearly by his family and he loved them.  He leaves behind two boys and family.  Charley will not be forgotten and will be greatly missed... and our hearts go out to his family.
